Artist's
Statement
My
mixed-media artwork uses various techniques such
as dyeing, quilting, embroidery, weaving,
painting, felting and photography. I enjoy fibre
manipulation and embellishment, orchestrating
colours, and creating novel textural surfaces.
Influenced by the beauty of the world
around me, I am inspired by both powerful and
fragile aspects of nature; both the macro scene of
a magnificent sunset, as well as a micro vignette
of moss and lichen at the water’s edge. My work
can be found in both corporate and private
collections in Canada, USA, Great Britain and
Mexico.
