Artist's
Statement
I
make original wall-hangings with my own
painted fabrics, silk fusion, felt, hand embroidery,
beading and dense machine-quilted surfaces, which I have
been told can resemble a chaos pattern. I present
lectures, trunk shows and classes for guilds,
schools, art colleges, retreats, shops, the CQA, quilt
festivals and national needlework shows. I am
inspired by my spiritual beliefs about why we are here and
what we are supposed to be doing while we are here, and I
hope my work conveys wonder and joy. I find the
whole process of working with textiles meditative and
invigorating and I feel most blessed to be able to
teach and create.
