Statement
Beginning
with my earliest traditional quilts, I have always been
attracted to thread embellishment. By overlapping
stitches, I blend colours while at the same time giving
the quilt a texture, both visual and physical. I use
thread like a paintbrush to express thoughts and feelings.
I feel compelled to do it, almost as if it is beyond my
control. The results constantly surprise me and entice me
to make my next fibre art piece.
