Statement
My
medium is collage. The handling, cutting and arranging of
fabric, paint and paper feels natural and satisfying. The
juxtaposition of colour, pattern and texture is an intense
and engaging process, demanding, yet full of pleasant
surprises, evolving gradually until it looks
"right". I prefer somewhat
"controlled" spontaneity rather then working
from a particular theme or preliminary design. With a
passion for colour, the task of choosing appealing or
intriguing combinations is
endlessly fascinating, as I need colour around me as much
as I need daylight.
